The new trend of motherhood portraits

This year's hottest new portrait trends.

I am sure at one point or another you have seen Beyonce's trending motherhood portraits with her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter. Granted it's open to personal opinion on whether you love them or not. But as a mother myself i feel that we ourselves don't give ourselves the graces of being in front of the camera often enough and if we do its a quick goofy snap or the occasional selfie shot of you and your family or with your  girlfriends all trying to squeeze into that tiny frame, or perhaps you're like me who do take those personal selfies but it never really see's the light of day because you feel too embarrassed or not pretty enough to post it out there for all to see and critique. It's time we put ourselves in front of the camera get glamoured up, be pampered, be celebrated for the women you are, for heaven's sake you just brought life into this world!!, i dare say, "you deserve to have all the Queen Bey, mama portrait sessions you want."

I recently scooped up three mama's for just a session and i know how hard it is to coordinate it between feeding times and maybe you woke up that morning with a not so cooperative little one. that's ok because we have all been there and i know it's a real struggle but i promise you once you come into the studio it's a pamper session catered around you and baby. you get your hair and makeup done professionally there are wardrobe consultations prior to your session so you know you'll be looking your best from head to toe. even if it's just on 2 hours of sleep.

If you've ever been curious or interested in just how to go about getting a portrait session done like this or what it entails? I would just love to have a chat with you and we can talk over all your questions concerns or even just ideas for a session you would like but not sure how to do.   I am so passionate about this genre of portraiture. I just can't wait to work with more beautiful mothers and their little one(s). before i sign off i just had to put in a little excerpt from a comment on one of the mom's portrait photo she posted to her Facebook page,  it was really a defining moment for me because when i started these sessions i was really struggling to bring  the idea  across to new moms, because i know and understand it's hard to get out of the house without feeling like you need to bring everything with you but the kitchen sink. You're exhausted half of the time and because of it, you just don't feel you look your best because anytime small amount of time you do have for yourself, it's throwing your hair in a ponytail, quick mascara,  a pair of tracks and out the house you go. So i can just imagine the prospect of getting in front of the camera is very daunting. But rest assured I've got you covered. You can litterally treat it as a spa day for baby and you.

One of these day’s your adult son will see this and will be like “wow, my mom really stressed her love for me to the world”. It’s photos like this that make your children understand what a mother’s true love is.
